Equitable Life


Perhaps the words Equitable and guarantee should not be used in the same sentence considering the huge problems that arose in the 1990s with Guaranteed Annuity rates (GARs). However despite this it should be pointed out that Equitable have some of the best guaranteed terms on many of their plans of any company we looked at. Their with-profit bonds have some fantastic spot guarantees, amongst the best we have seen, and the terms on any Equitable plan should be reviewed in light of the guarantees that may be available. Given their disastrous returns a clean exit could be still available for the right plan holders.
